DGR Interiors Front Entrance Makeover
I had the pleasure of meeting Deborah and she was so excited to get started with the makeover this past weekend. She told me “I never won anything before”! I wanted the space to be more inviting and warm to welcome guests. First off we needed to accent the door to stand out with color. Both Deborah and I loved the impact of a black door. By placing some lanterns, a coat rack with umbrella stand, and some benches, I was able to dress up the porch with things she could use all year round to make in cozy and functional. To make the porch feel larger, I added a larger sisal rug and moved her rubber trellis door mat to the bottom of the stairs. placing these two large planters with mums and millet brought the whole porch forward and lengthened the space. The mums can be changed out each season with lit pine trees for winter and pussy willows and pansies for spring etc. as can the wreath on the door. And finally, of course, I had to add the pumpkins, owl and other Fall decor for this upcoming season. Deborah and her husband were thrilled with the Makeover and were having guests for dinner that evening! Comment away and let me know what you think about the makeover.
