I just could not think of a topic suitable for my blog this week given the horrific event that took place in Newtown, CT.

Growing up and living in Connecticut all my life really made this news surreal. This just doesn’t happen in the suburbs of Connecticut.

How can a senseless act by one person cause so much devastation to so many families. There are so many unanswered questions….WHY being the million dollar question.

While holiday shopping in Macy’s at the West Farms Mall today they were collecting stuffed animals for the children in Newtown . Seeing how people pull together to help during these times brings tears to my eyes.

Although I don’t personally know anyone effected by this tragedy, I find myself with tears every time I see the news or think about those innocent children.

So this week let’s all say a prayer and send well wishes to all those effected by this unfathomable act. Unfortunately their lives will never be the same.

On a positive note,  let’s thank all those wonderful teachers who saved the other children.
